Botrytis Riesling TBA
Wine
Lethbridge Botrytis Riesling TBA is sourced from Jack and Lois Doven's vineyard in Drumborg, Henty. It is made only when the growing conditions perfectly align.
TBA stands for trockenbeerenauslese: a style of German dessert wine, literally 'dried berry selection'. The wine is made with Botrytis affected grapes, picked when they are raisin-like in appearance with a high sugar concentration.
Fermentation occurs slowly, then comes to a stop with low alcohol content and a high level of residual sugar.
Amber yellow, Lethbridge Botrytis Riesling TBA has powerful marmalade flavours, a slippery texture and lingering finish. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
